The Kreemers at Disney - Christmas 2006

Some background....
We met during Mark's first year at Trinity Lutheran Seminary. We married in 1997 at Gethsemane Lutheran Church. Mark's undergrad degree is from Ohio State--Veronica graduated from the University of Florida.
As Mark
completed his Masters of Divinity at Trinity Lutheran
Seminary,
Veronica worked her Masters of Business Administration from the University
of Dayton. Mark
graduated in June of 2000,
and Veronica was awarded her degree two months later. During his
last year of seminary, Mark entered the call process and was
assigned to the Central States Synod. He was ordained in August
of 2000, and that month received a call as pastor to a local
church. We sold our
home in October of 2000 and relocated to the Sunflower State.
It's nearly 2008; our family has grown with the adoption of our daughter in 2005. We left Kansas that same year for a new call in the Sunshine State.
Various Links (new stuff listed first; other pages listed by update frequency):
blog...this will be the most up to date part of our web site, as we will update this every few days. Check back frequently; we will be moving some other things around on this site. The blog will have up to date news, pictures, our thoughts on news & political happenings, and whatever doesn't seem to fit on this web site.
BootCampBuddies, a great place to get healthy. Mark and I made a commitment to work on our health in 2006. with a combination of healthy eating (on Weight Watcher's CORE program) and (nearly) daily fitness walking, I've gone from a 18W to a size 4 or 6 - I've maintained since January of 2007. Mark has also lost a significant amount of weight. At some point we will post some before & after pictures. This time I think we have found a way healthy way of eating that we can keep up for LIFE!
We brought home Kirby in 2004. She is an adorable Golden Retriever--very cute and very smart. Of course her name follows the naming convention we started in our home with Eureka and Hoover. Perhaps our next dog will be "Dee-Dee" (for Dirt Devil) or "Bisselle". We have posted a tribute to Max and Hoover.
My latest precious ... is my Treo
700p. This is my second Treo; I used a converged device (the Kyocera 7135) for about two years. The only thing I miss about my Kyo was the flip-phone form factor...otherwise I
am pretty much blown away by my new Smartphone. My Treo has all
the Palm functionality plus everything you would expect from a
phone...and more. It's like having a phone and iPod with
Palm and Internet capabilities....methinks I am in geek heaven!
Now that we have relocated I can barely look at the pictures of our beautiful home in Kansas. The real estate market in our neck of the wood SUCKED when we moved here; half the house for twice the price. But I guess that's the price we pay for moving to the Sunshine State. We bought a house and have been spending a lot of time fixing it up.
Travel Page
(I traveled to Paris and Rome during November 2001; 2002 was pretty much taken up with
Mom's accident and subsequent recovery. We took our fourth trip
to the jewel of the US Virgin Islands, St. John, in
January of 2004. In October of 2004, Veronica visited the Seiers
in Wisconsin and all of us (Mark, Veronica and Kyla) flew to Ohio for
family and football. Nothing exciting in 2005 - 2007 - trips back to Ohio for family visits/football, plus a business trip to California. I am planning a trip with friends to NYC in the spring of 2008.
Our involvement
with Copper and Pilot
Dog. Copper has recently retired. He gets along well with Cathy's new guide dog and is living happily ever after near Dayton.
Veronica is a Hospice volunteer.
Mark's Page, ...with NOTHING NEW. I'm going
to remove the link soon if he doesn't do something!
Stop the Christmas feeding frenzy! Instead of buying more useless stuff for your loved ones, donate to a worthy cause: Heifer Project International.
Why Veronica is a card-carrying member of the ACLU: an essay by Nadine Strossen on keeping Christ in Christmas. By mixing government and religion, both are harmed.
